Back to exercise?

Jogged two miles today and yesterday. Well OK, more like jogged one mile, walked the rest. I’m working my way up.

I’m also trying to do push-ups and crunches whenever I think of it — my goal is to have noticeable abs by the time summer rolls around. I read a couple fitness websites, and they all agreed that you need to have at most 10% body fat before you start seeing your abdominal muscles. To that end I’ve been eating less. Hope I can keep it up, because I’m getting hungry… :(

Doing some work on my game. Found a library that adds an explode() function that does the same thing as PHP’s build-in explode(). I’m going to use this for loading custom levels in my breakout game.

Aaaaaaand there was something else I was going to say but, as usual, I forgot it. Yay. I’m gonna go eat.

Lavalier arrived!

Yup indeed, I am now the proud owner of an Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone. I was going to take a picture of it, but unfortunately my camera FRIGGING SUCKS! I took like five pictures from different distances and angles and they all turned out blurry. So you’ll just have to settle for the Amazon product page. In related news, I would really like a DSLR. And, uh, it’s a common practice to give gifts on Easter… *cough cough cough*

The quality of the mic is really good, as far as I can tell. Good enough for my purposes. What I think I need, however, is some sort of mini digital recorder that can be hidden on someones person, e.g. the actor wearing the mic. The mic could be plugged into that, rather then have the cord stretch all the way back to the camera.

In other news, I feel bad. I forgot to go running today, and idn’t remember till it was after dark. I suppose I could have gone anyway, but al seemed like to much work at the time. Now it’s definitely too late, though please don’t ask me why. So I’m going to do what software developers do, when faced with a bug they can’t work out in the time they have — call it a feature! You see, my workout schedule is designed to give my a break from running every 3rd day. Instead, I will… I don’t know. Push-ups, maybe? Yeah. 100 push-ups, 25 crunches, and whatever else I feel like doing which probably won’t be anything.

I ran! Again!

Jogged another quarter of a mile today. That’s twice in a row. I feel the dawn of a new era — an age when I can actually keep my resolutions!

Also: I was going to post some totally awesome Mardi Gras pics, but for some reason the person who took them didn’t upload them to Flickr or elsewhere, they left them on Walmart.com. Now Walmart is being rather Walmart-ish (ie, low quality) and not acepting the username and password I was provided with.

I spit in your general direction, Walmart.

I’m like so totally buff

I just jogged a quarter of a mile. Some may laugh at that and say “Hahaha! I laugh at that!” But for me? That’s pretty good, especially if I can keep it up. I weigh about 127 pounds, and I’m thinking that at least 7 of those pounds is fat. So it’s my goal that, before easter, I will lose 7 pounds, or at least turn those 7 pounds into toned, rippling muscle.

If I succeed, I will post a picture of myself in a speedo. Mark your calendars!
